Digi-pak Analysis
This is the digipak for Katy Perry's album 'Teenage Dream. The theme of the digipak can be seen through-out which is 'sweets' or 'candy, and is made clear through the pictures of the doughnut on the CD and the lolipop theme on the other CD. You can also see the theme throughout the number of pictures that are on the covers including the candyfloss which can be seen on the back cover. Also on the track listing on the back page you can see that some of the letters have been replaced with sweets.
The colour theme has been kept the same through out which is mainly pink and blues, although this would been seen as customising towards a feel audience, the sexualisation of Katy Perry with the close up pictures of herself and her body would appeal to a male audience as it can be seen as a provocative manner. There is a small amount of red which can be seen on the digipak, this can be seen to tie in with the pink theme or could be seen to tie in which the sexualisation of Katy Perry as red is seen as a seductive and passionate colour.
The sweet theme could also be seen as to put her across in a 'sweet' and 'innocent' way which would go against a number of songs that are on the album. It can also link in with the theme of her song 'California Girls' which in the music video has the same theme.
