What Is Mise En Scene?
Mise en scene refers to the design of a piece of theatre or film, it essentially means the visual design which helps to tell the story through-out the production through ways such as storyboarding and stage design. The different aspects that it includes are;
Costume
Props
Lighting (including colours used on set)
Make-Up
Space
Set Design

In videos such as The Script - Nothing (an alternative rock genre) typical mise en scene aspects that it uses include; a typical urban setting which you can see at the beginning of The Scripts video, also the use of dark lighting when inside a building is used a lot. Clothing that they used in typically casual, rock or in some respects can be slightly 'indie' including shirts, leather jackets, beenie hats, chinos and tight skinny jeans.
